FORM 27BAttestation of Enlistment

Poor Bloody
Infantry

They all have names.

You are given 360 men and no more. They can be promoted. They cannot be replaced. Every one you lose is crossed off a list you have to keep looking at.

Nobody has survived a mission yet. The board is empty because the war is new — be the first name on it.

The board

Fastest
clears

Every time on this board was checked by re-running the commander's own orders against the mission they were given. If the fight didn't happen the way they said, it isn't here.

Timed in simulation, not on your clock — a faster machine buys you nothing.

Conditions of service

01Every man is named
Chalky, Nobby, Spud, Tiny. They carry their rank and the number of missions they have survived. You will learn them whether you mean to or not.
02Death is permanent
One hit kills — yours and theirs alike. There are no medics, no revives and no health bars. A man who falls is struck off and stays struck off.
03The queue is finite
360 recruits stand behind your squad. The line only ever gets shorter. When it is empty, and your last man falls, that is the end of it.
04Promotion is for the living
Rank is earned by surviving and by nothing else. Not by kills, not by objectives. The man you have had since the first mission is the most valuable thing you own.
05One mouse
Left button moves the squad. Right button fires at the cursor. That is the entire control scheme. The difficulty here is tactical, never mechanical.
06Free, and staying free
No purchase, no advertising, and nothing to buy that would change a mission. If a tip jar ever appears it will sit on the menu and affect nothing.

Signing opens a file in your name. Your first four men will be waiting.
